Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a very broad spectrum of Engineering giving exposure to the fields of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and basics of Civil Engineering. It mainly concentrates on Electrical and Electronics Engineering ranging from the fundamentals of both to all aspects about power generation, power transmission, power distribution, power utilization, analysis of power system, Analog, Digital and Power Electronics Engineering, Drives and Control, Control systems, Electrical Machines including single and three phase AC, DC and Special Machines, Design of Electrical machines, System design, Digital signal processing etc.
Along with that the department offers electives on recent advancement areas such as HVDC & FACTS, Biomedical Engineering, Special Electrical Machines, Energy Conservation and Management, Microprocessor based System Design, Embedded Systems.
The curriculum of the department is designed to provide engineering graduates adequate knowledge and skills required for a successful carrier in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
