Dr. Vrinda V. Nair the former Director of the State Project Facilitation Unit (SPFU) at the Department of Technical Education, Trivandrum and Dean Research A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University joined the College of Engineering Attingal as Principal recently. She had also served as Principal College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) and as Registrar and Controller of Examinations, A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University in different spans. She received her Ph.D. in Bio-sequence analysis from Chaos Game Representation Signals from the University of Kerala in 2006. She has also received her M. Tech. in Digital Electronics from the Cochin University of Science and Technology. She has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and research in various government engineering colleges in Kerala. She has published many papers in international and national journals and conferences.

Some of her areas of interest include Signal processing, Image processing and Computer vision.

She is also a dedicated and committed teacher who is passionate about teaching and research.
