College of Engineering Attingal, established by Institute of Human Resources Development(IHRD), an autonomous educational institution and a Government of Kerala undertaking, is a premier technical institute offering state-of-the-art engineering courses in the state. IHRD is a major educational hub with a huge geographical spread percolating into every nook and corner of the state. It has 87 institutions including 9 Engineering colleges. College of Engineering, Attingal started functioning in the academic year 2004-2005 and has 15 batches of proud alumni many of whom are adorning top positions in industry. The Institution has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and is an affiliated institution under APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University (KTU).

Excellent connectivity: The college is situated at close proximity to the National Highway 66 and very near to the KSRTC Bus Terminal. It is also close to Chirayinkeezh railway station which is just 7km from the campus.
Campus Placements: The campus is a hotspot for campus placements due to its proximity to Technopark -Trivandrum.90% eligible students in CS, EC, & EEE of 2022-23 batch are placed in leading MNCs with average salary in the range 3 lakhs to 7.5 lakhs. Many students have multiple offers too from leading MNCs.
IEEE Student Branch: IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE SB College of Engineering Attingal (IEEE SB CEAL) has four technical societies and an affinity group and is part of IEEE Kerala Section.
IEDC: In association with Kerala Startup Mission (a Govt. of Kerala initiative), the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) was inaugurated on the 19th of September 2015.
Collaborative R&D project: Preventive Policing Using Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning is a collaborative project with Kerala Police Intelligence Wing with major participation by students and staff of the college for prediction and analysis of crime.
